Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) conducts a wide range of businesses globally, from methanol, xylene, hydrogen peroxide and other basic chemicals through to life-science products, metaxylene derivatives, electronic chemicals and other fine chemicals. MGC is divided into the following four business segments: Natural Gas Chemicals, Aromatic Chemicals, Speciality Chemicals, Information and Advanced Materials.
Mitsubishi Gas Chemical will strengthen its core businesses by concentrating management resources in fields where it has a competitive advantage. In commodities, the company will deploy a differentiation strategy to strengthen the value chain and establish and expand its production bases centred in Asia.
In electronics, environment related, life-science and other fields where rapid growth is expected, MGC will maximise use of its management resources such as its R&D organisation to actively launch speciality products with high added value.
