National Alternative Fuel Vehicle day on 30 September

National Alternative Fuel Vehicle day on  30 September was one of the first of a range of events across the US in the coming months.

I missed this at the time, travelling may broaden the mind, but you can’t do much at all when you’re laptop’s battery is on the blink.

I read into biofuelds for a bit. Celebrate the day even further…The National Wildlife Federation recently finished a send-a-letter-to-the-EPA widget and Facebook application that sends an official message to the Environmental Protection Agency urging them to recognize the impact greenhouse gases are having on our planet. We’re trying to drum-up up some support for their cause. If you’re so inclined, we’d appreciate a link to either application or simply spread the word! Thanks so much!

Biofuels are definately the wave of the future. Biodiesel essentially requires no vehcile conversion as long as the oil is filtered and proper chemicals are added to the oil prior to using it. You can make it at home, design your own fuel station or purchase one already designed. The cost is relatively low and could be as little as $1.00 per gallon. I heard of one gentleman who said he made his for about $.91 cents per gallon. I don’t understand why there isn’t a lot more publicity about biofuel. Of course in California the air board has a law prohibiting California from converting to fuel flex technology. The scoop is that Ford Motor Company has the exclusive contract for this technology.
