Restaurant food to biofuels

Scientists in the US lead by U.S.University of California-Davis Professor Ruihong Zhang have built a $1m commercial sized system to produce biofuels from food waste. Bacteria secrete methane and hydrogen, according to reports in The Sacramento Bee reported by UPI international scientists unveiled a new demonstration plant on Tuesday, designed to produce energy from bacteria.
