New York State in Carbon credit market

Empire stateBiofuel producers should be pleased to see the US market for carbon credits get a boost with New York State's plan to sell carbon credits.

Here's the intro to a story from Planet Ark

New York state plans to auction all of its permits to emit greenhouse gas emissions under a developing regional market in order to avoid the European Union's mistake of giving away carbon permits, according to a source familiar with the market.

This should help keep the price of credits at a reasonable level, and mean that biofuel producers, may be able to make a little more money, by selling the credits their production creates in to the market.
