Riots in Yemen over the rising price of food staples

There have been riots in Yemen over the rising price of food staples such as wheat , according to Al Jazeera.

Although Yemen is in the Arabian Peninsula, it is not blessed with oil. The government has instructed one of its ministries to buy wheat on the open market and sell it cheaply to its citizens. That's economics... and a sign that the wheat market is already tight ahead of the harvest.
