BioMCN won the innovation award at the World Refining Association's Bio-fuels 2007 conference in Vienna Austria from 29-31 October. The award was for finding a way to convert glycerol from biodiesel production into bio methanol.

I wonder what the ratio per litre is.
For every litre of glycerol, how much e-coli is required?
& where would you get the right form or e-coli bacteria, animal gut, or dung?
Doesn`t seem too much different to homebrew beer/spirits, just getting it to ferment/rot the right way.
Interesting.
