According to this ICIS News article, the sole US carbofuran manufacturer FMC recently filed suit in US District Court in Washington, DC, to contest the EPA's cancellation effort.
It is not surprising that the maker of carbofuran filed suit to stop the EPA's cancellation efforts.
Chemical companies spend millions to protect their good name and their products, and they appear to care little for what the public thinks. Perhaps it is time that the public decides issue like this instead of the courts. And hey, we can.
