Chemicals II: The Next Generation

| 2 Comments | 1 TrackBack

I just bumped in to Fred from Nizhex in the lobby before my 9.30 meeting, and he told me that his son Max has just started working in his business. And last night at the EPCA reception, I met Anna who has just started working with her father Sergei at Nizhnekamsk.

So that’s Ian and his son at Hutton Chemicals. Eran with his dad at BMS. Sofia with her mother Elvira at Peninsula. Birgit and her father Otto at Shell. Dieter at BASF and his son Harry at BP. And Peter’s daughter at Interchem. Is this the new thing? Don’t kids want to rebel against their parents any more? Obviously the lure of chemicals is too great.

Do you know any more parent and offspring pairings in the chemical industry? Add them below.
