Oil industry execs stick heads in sand - official

sun.jpgMy colleague Lucy Craymer is enraged by a new report dismissing global warming ...

While the rest of us are cutting back the number of plastic bags we use (she writes) and opting to take the bus rather than drive, the majority of those who really hold the power to slow global warming don't even think it's happening.

A report released by KPMG LLP's Global Energy Institute on Friday said a majority of oil and gas executives interviewed did not believe global warming was caused by carbon dioxide emission.

A huge 62% of these executives believe that it was just a natural phenomenon while 9% believe the world isn't getting hotter.

Interesting considering these same oil companies are all doing their best to look clean, green and even a little carbon saving.
