essential chemistry 1.jpg How many adverts do you see on TV extolling the virtues of chemicals? Answer: none.

Now my new friend January at the American Chemistry Council (ACC) in Arlington, Virginia, has kindly sent me this link to two nice short ads which the ACC has been running on american TV. My favourite clip shows a wet shaggy dog being shampooed in the bath, covered in suds from good wholesome chemicals.

About the ads, the Artists in Advertising blog wrote:

For the American Chemistry Council, Gartner's Raymond Bark delivers a beautiful, inspiring "Anthem" with vignettes that convey what is truly essential to American life. "Clean", a second spot for the council, reminds us that essential plastic, medicines, and innovations come from (chemicals).
