Butyl Acetate Asia Transcript
ICIS publishes a weekly Butyl Acetate, or ButAc pricing report in Asia.
The report provides two regional quotes namely, CFR South East Asia and CFR China main ports.
Our comprehensive price assessments are based on bulk shipments ranging from 100-500 tons and deals for drummed and iso-tank cargos are also included.
When assessing prices, we also take into consideration upstream prices and the supply situation. Plant operating rates and downstream derivative demand are also taken into account. We report on market activity throughout the week and also provide regular information on plant turn-arounds and outages which can affect the market.
The important Korea, Taiwan and China domestic price information is also covered as there are only a few large producers supplying ButAc into Asia.
