Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Asia Transcript
The ICIS pricing ethylene vinyl acetate, or EVA report is a weekly report that examines trade flows through China, South East Asia and South Asia.
Two separate sets of CFR quotes are categorised into high and low VA content grades of 14-20% and 22-30% for each region. The report mainly focuses on China as this represents the key market for EVA but it also covers trading in South East Asia and India.
The CFR China main port quote indicates the currents prices of imported material bound for the Chinese sector. Material can originate from North East Asia, mainly Taiwan or Korea, or South East Asia which is Singapore and Thailand, while product emanating from Europe and US will also be taken into consideration.
The report offers essential market commentary that includes details of traced transactions, news on the supply demand balance, export and import information, news, contract price negotiations and general sentiment for price direction.
Where applicable, there are comments on upstream and downstream market developments.
ICIS has a strong track record of global polymers coverage and is in a good position to track developments in the polyethylene market. EVA producers, consumers and traders across the region contribute to and have an interest in this report with many of these market players choosing to use the ICIS quotations to formulate their monthly settlement prices.
