It is also an important pricing tool, where a lot of contracts are based on a formula pricing linked to ICIS.
It covers two other grades, dipropylene glycol grade and the USP pharmaceutical grade.
This includes market commentary and pricing information on both grades.
The report also contains important production updates and important import information on trade flows between Asia and Europe.
The report also has invaluable information for both producers, buyers and traders and gives an overall view on various downstream sectors including the unsaturated polyester resin sector, food packaging, surfactants and different seasonal businesses.

Updated to Q1 2016
European monopropylene glycol industrial grade (MPGI) spot prices generally softened during the first quarter of 2016 because of some relief in upstream propylene costs and poor de-icer demand on the back of a mild winter, which resulted in lengthy supply. In early January, mid-point MPGI spot prices were at €1,090/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe), but they had fallen to €965/tonne by mid-March. However, MPGI spot prices were starting to stabilise in the second half of March, because of the expectation of a firmer upstream propylene contract price for March and healthy demand from the downstream unsaturated polyester resin sector. In addition, the weak euro against the US dollar was helping to support exports from Europe and underpin demand to some extent. Players were also monitoring supply amid talk of forthcoming upstream propylene oxide and/or MPG plant maintenance turnarounds for a few suppliers. These were due to take place during spring, and as they are planned, stocks were expected to be built in advance to cover the maintenance period.
