Polypropylene Asia Transcript

ICIS publishes a weekly report on polypropylene also known as PP that covers China and south-east Asia import prices.

We also publish a separate weekly PP report that focuses on China’s domestic market and provide a daily price alert service that tracks daily PP import prices.

Over the past two decades since we launched our PP report in 1990 we have expanded the report to cover 25 price quotes for five different PP grades.

Our China focused PP report was launched in 2006 with 12 assessment quotes that cover domestic retail trade. The report was part our response to the growing interest in what’s happening in China’s domestic market.

Our price assessments reflect the transactions bids and offers captured throughout the week.

Our reports also include plant maintenance schedules and outages which may influence price movements.

We speak to resin processors traders and producers to obtain information on the week’s trades.

ICIS Asia PP price assessments form an integral part of the pricing decisions of plastics processors, traders, producers and manufacturers of fast-moving consumer goods
