Colin Moynihan to take over as Spectron chairman

27 Jul 2004 00:00:00

Colin Moynihan, former Tory minister of energy for the UK, has accepted the chairmanship of brokers Spectron and is to succeed former Shell T&T chairman Sir John Jennings when he retires in September, a Spectron spokesman confirmed on Tuesday. Moynihan recently joined Spectron’s board as a non-executive member. His last major role was as executive chairman of independent gas producer Consort Resources from its inception in 2000 until its sale last year. More recently, along with the actor Sir Anthony Hopkins, he bought into California wind turbine specialist Clipper Power, which is looking at wind power possibilities offshore UK and in central Europe.
