Norway’s reservoirs up 3.4 points in Week 21; Swedish levels gain 7.4 points

Norwegian reservoir levels climbed by 3.4 percentage points in Week 21, according to latest data from the Nordic power exchange, Nord Pool. The increase put reservoir levels at their highest point since Week 10 2006, to 43.0% fullness.

Norwegian reservoir levels are 4.8 percentage points above where they were at the same time last year. In Week 21 2005, reservoirs were 38.2% full. This week’s levels represent a potential hydropower capacity of 35,223 GWh.

Swedish reservoir levels climbed sharply by 7.4 percentage points in Week 21 to 47.0% fullness. This week’s levels represent a potential hydropower capacity of 15,855 GWh. GR
