Peak cross border capacity price from France to Italy falls for October

The cost of flowing Peak power from France to Italy for October fell 5% from EUR 35.21/MWh for September to EUR 33.42/MWh, according to French grid operator RTE on Tuesday. Available capacity increased significantly month-on-month from 55 MW to 500 MW for October.

Sixteen players took part in the monthly auctions, with twelve successfully securing capacity. Currently, explicit auction are only held in the direction France to Italy. The Italian TSO Terna coordinates exports from Italy and France on a pro rata basis. KT
