PPC’s H1 results show rising profits
Greek incumbent PPC’s net income for H1 2007 increased 4.3% to EUR 99.4 million, compared to EUR 95.3 million during H1 2006, the company announced on Tuesday. A 1.2% increase in the volume of sales, along with an average tariff increase of 4.8% in August 2006 and a rise in industrial and night tariffs by 4% and 5% respectively are the main reasons given for the gains.
EBITDA decreased by 4.1% year-on-year, and stood at EUR 456.4 million during 1H 2007, compared to EUR 475.8 million for 1H 2006. FSJ
