29 Aug 2007 00:00:00

Austria’s security of supply, in terms of unexpected power interruptions, was broadly unchanged year-on-year in 2006, according to the latest report published by regulator E-Control.

The regulator said the average length of power blackouts last year was 66.5 minutes and that security of supply was 99.99%, making the country one of the most reliable suppliers in Europe, according to the agency. The regulator assessed the overall reliability of supply as very good. The annual assessment covers all network operators in the country and forms part of the regulator’s obligations under national law. ADS
