Wingas tender for fuel gas concluded
German network operator Wingas Transport recently finalised a call for tenders for 1.5 billion kWh - or 140 million cubic metres - of fuel gas (the most common form of which is natural gas).
"Overall, we received offers for 50 batches from six suppliers," said managing director Christoph-Sweder von dem Bussche-Hünnefeld. Wingas has offered contracts to three European gas suppliers, and volumes will be traded at TTF and GASPOOL. They will be fed into the company's grid through specially leased transport capacities.
The tender process (which closed on 18 March) offered fixed-quantity deliveries for the period between 1 April 2010 and 1 January 2011, with an hourly capacity of 30MW.
