Predictions 2009 - outlook article

For our Outlook 2009 issue we are compiling an article with the industry’s bold predictions for next year.  These should be short sound bites and can be serious or light-hearted, and about anything connected to the chemicals and allied industries, macro-economic or political trends. Do you think Crude prices are likely to rocket again this year? Are big mergers and acquisitions now a thing of the past - or do you predict a monster deal in 2009? What about sustainability - is there going to be less emphasis on going green in the current financial climate? What impact will Middle Eastern capacity have when it comes onstream?
