Saudi Arabia's Sipchem starts up new Jubail PBT plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Saudi International Petrochemical Co (Sipchem) started up its new 63,000 tonne/year polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, on 20 April, the company said on Tuesday.

The plant is owned by its subsidiary Sipchem Chemical Co.

“The company will announce the commercial operation, the financial impact and any further developments in due course,” Sipchem said in a statement on the Saudi bourse, Tadawul.
