An overview and outlook of the Turkish polymers market

The Turkish polyolefins market has seen a turbulent year so far, starting off with the lira at record lows amid political scandal and economic uncertainty, followed by pivotal and hard-fought regional elections at the end of March. With presidential elections scheduled for August, and general elections due next year, the uncertainty continues, yet the Turkish polymers market remains a potential growth area. If it can overcome the challenges of competition from Asia, a recovering currency and further political upheaval to come, Turkey will continue to be an attractive growth market for polymers players.

The ICIS webinar on the Turkish polymers market will discuss the following topics:

  • Introduction and year-to-date overview
  • The impact of Asia & Europe
  • Current market situation
  • Supply and demand outlook
