This webinar has already taken place – held last 29 May 2014. A copy of the presentation slides, with a link to the webinar recording, is available for you to download.
East Asian buyers continue to face challenging conditions in the short-term LNG market. Participants have faced sustained high spot market costs and varying levels of rival demand from other global markets. On the other hand, uncertainty over the timing of new plant start-ups and nuclear restarts is likely to prolong Asian buyers exposure to spot LNG.
Through this exclusive webinar, you will gain a detailed insight into:
Short-term outlook and spot market activity in Asia and competing regions
  • Sales strategies used by suppliers and prevailing buying trends to assess short-term liquidity
  • The determination of short-term prices in Asia and the interplay of these with prices in other key global demand centres

Impact of market changes in 2014-2015

  • The effect of the start-up of the next wave of liquefaction capacity and the entry of new buyers on the supply/demand balance
  • The outlook for Japan’s short-term generation mix and the impact of demand in competing global markets
