TORONTO (ICIS)--Koch has completed its acquisition of UK fertilizer blender and distributor J&H Bunn for an undisclosed sum, the US industrial and trading firm said on Wednesday.

Great Yarmouth-based J&H Bunn has seven terminals in the UK and employs a staff of 150, Koch said.

Koch will integrate J&H Bunn’s terminals into its global network, said Koch Fertilizer president Steve Packebush.

David Harrod, a UK director for J&H Bunn, said Koch plans to retain the Bunn-related brand names.

“J&H Bunn’s customers should see welcome benefits from this unique combination of our local and global fertilizer capabilities and our shared commitment to customers,” Harrod said.

With the deal, announced in January, Koch acquires major fertilizer terminals at Great Yarmouth on the English east coast, Middlesbrough (Teesside) in northern England, and Sharpness on the west coast.

Also included are Bunn coastal and inland terminals at Falmouth, Howden, Montrose and Fakenham.

Kansas-based Koch Fertilizer has the capacity to produce 10m tonnes/year of ammonia and other fertilizer products. The company is part of Koch Industries.
