HOUSTON
(ICIS)–Honeywell has won a contract to install its control
and safety system at Kuwait National Petroleum’s
planned 615,000 bbl/day Al Zour refinery
complex, the US-based diversified
technologies and petrochemicals engineering group said on
Tuesday.
Honeywell
will also provide the front-end engineering design (FEED) for
the system, it added.
Al Zour will be the Middle East’s largest
refinery after starting up in 2018, Honeywell said. The new
refinery will help meet domestic and export demand
for ultra-low sulphur products such as fuel oil, diesel
and kerosene, as well as petrochemical feedstocks.
Honeywell did not disclose the value of
the contract.
