Japan's Nov naphtha imports for ethylene up 18% month on month

TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan’s imports of naphtha for ethylene production increased by 18% month on month to 1.38m tonnes in November, official data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) showed on Thursday.

The country’s naphtha imports for the petrochemical sector totalled $1.30bn in November, up 18% from the previous month, according to the ministry.

The price of naphtha was $935.4/tonne in November, a 0.6% decrease from October, the statistics showed.
