SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s JX Nippon Oil and Energy plans to have a turnaroound at its 85,000 tonne/year propylene-based isopropanol (IPA) plant in the third quarter of next year, a company source said on Friday.

The plant is expected remain off line for about 10 days for a catalyst recovery, the source added.

The IPA facility in Kawasaki underwent an unscheduled shutdown in August 2013 when the cracker at the same petrochemical complex faced technical issues.
