MOSCOW (ICIS)--Monomer and polymer production in Russia was higher year on year in November, Russian statistical agency Rosstat said on Friday.
Ethylene production was up by 2.1% at 241,000 tonnes and propylene production up 7.8% at 120,000 tonnes, Rosstat said.
The country's total output of polyethylene (PE) was up 2% year on year at 160,000 tonnes and polypropylene (PP) production up 36.9% at 80,000 tonnes.
Russia's styrene output climbed 5.2% to 52,800 tonnes for the month, while polystyrene (PS) output was up 20.7% at 41,400 tonnes.
PVC output, however, fell 5.5% to 57,000 tonnes. Phenol output was down 0.5% at 24,600 tonnes.
Synthetic rubber production was down 2.2% at 127,000 tonnes, the agency said.
