Russia to up petchems export duties

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russia's government announced on Friday that export duties levied on petrochemical products and crude oil are to increase in the new year.

From 1 January 2014, the duty levied on benzene, xylenes and toluene is set to rise to $264.60/tonne (€193.16/tonne) from $254.50/tonne in December, according to the Russian Economic Development Ministry.

Russia's export duty levied on gasoline and naphtha will increase to $360.90/tonne, up from $347.10/tonne in December.

Russia reviews its export duties levied on petrochemical products on a monthly basis in accordance with changes of the crude oil export duty. From

1 January, Russia's export duty levied on crude oil will amount to $401.00/tonne compared to $385.70/tonne in December.
