Correction: In the ICIS news story headlined “China’s FREP shuts 330,000 tonne/year Fujian PP unit on 29 Dec” dated 31 December 2013, plant’s wrong capacity was removed from the headline. Also, please read in the first paragraph … 220,000 tonne/year … instead of 330,000 tonne/year … and in the third paragraph … and 180,000 tonne/year PP units … instead of … and 220,000 tonne/year PP units … The fourth paragraph was removed as the information was inaccurate. A corrected story follows:

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Fujian Refining & Petrochemical (FREP) has shut its 220,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) unit in Fujian province on 29 December because of blocked separator, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.

The source did not provide further details on the unit’s restart date.

The company is running its other 120,000 tonne/year and 180,000 tonne/year PP units, located at the same site, at full rate, the source added.
