HOUSTON (ICIS)--US November daily propylene production from crackers was 2.1% higher month on month, according to data released on Friday from consulting firm Jacobs Consultancy.
The firm’s Hodson Report showed US daily cracker propylene production at 29.40m lb/day (13,000 tonnes/day), up from 28.79m lb/day in October.
The rise was partly attributed to higher cracker operating rates, which climbed to 94.3% in November from 92.4% in October.
Additionally, the US cracker feedslate shifted 0.4% heavier, although propane consumption fell.
Propane as a feedstock usage fell to 22.8% of the feedslate in November from 24.3% in October.
Total November propylene production fell 1.0% month on month, however, owing to one less day of production compared with October.
Total cracker propylene production was 883m lb in November, down from 892m lb in October.
