SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry Group has shut its 600,000 tonne/year propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit on 12 January following a technical glitch, a source close to the company said on Monday.

The company hopes to resume production in about five days, the source said.

The outage did not have any immediate impact on the market as the supplier has sufficient stock to continue supplying to its downstream affiliates and long-term customers.

The plant, which is China’s first PDH unit, started up on 25 September.
