Styrolution to end Texas City styrene plant shutdown this week

HOUSTON (ICIS)–Styrolution will end a 65-day shutdown at its Texas City styrene monomer (SM) facility in Texas by the end of this week, a source with the company said on Monday.

The shutdown began back in early November to improve production efficiencies and to further strengthen its technological position, according to the company.

The Texas City facility has a styrene capacity of 485,000 tonnes/year.
