SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Fatty Chemicals Malaysia, a subsidiary of Kao Japan, is having a regular plant turnaround, from end March to the third week of April, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.

Annual maintenance for the 190,000-200,000 tonne/year fatty alcohols plant will not affect supplies as inventories have been built up, the source added.

Fatty Chemicals Malaysia produces various groups of fatty alcohols including blended C12-14 and blended C16-18 for applications in Kao’s personal care and surfactants industry.
