SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Vietnam’s Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical is planning to shutdown its 150,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant in May for a turnaround, sources close to the company said on Wednesday.
The company plans to keep the plant off line for almost 60 days from May to June, the source added.
Earlier, the plant was shut on 7 November to 10 November due to the heavy rains in the region.
Binh Son Refining & Petrochemical operates the PP plant in Dung Quat industrial park in Quang Ngai province. The company is a subsidiary of state-owned oil firm PetroVietnam.
Officials from Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical were not immediately available for comment.
