SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Tasco Chemical Corp restarted its newly expanded 35,000 tonne/year maleic anhydride (MA) plant in Kaohsiung this week, a company source said on Thurssday.
The plant was taken off line on 17 February for regular maintenance and expansion works.
Its capacity was increased by 10,000 tonnes/year from 25,000 tonnes/year during the three-week turnaround, the source said.
The plant’s additional output is meant for commercial sales in Taiwan's domestic market, with any excess supply to be exported, the source said.
Tasco Chemical is one of the four major MA producers in Taiwan.
