LONDON (ICIS)--Following some minor issues last week, Sasol’s low density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plants in Sasolburg are back online and producing, a source at the company said on Thursday.
“We had some minor upsets last week, however both LDPE and LLDPE plants are currently on-line and producing,” the source said.
“There may however still be some delays on certain deliveries (grade specific) to customers.”
This was in response to market reports of delayed volumes from the producer’s plants.
“There are LD and LLD delays,” a distributor said earlier this week.
“Customers were waiting for trucks yesterday, but they haven’t arrived. Delays were from the PE plant, they were down for maintenance. It’s [the plants] expected to be online by the end of the week.”
