China’s Zhejiang Weitai Rubber to start up SBR unit on 25 April

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhejiang Weitai Rubber is expected to start up its new 100,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant in Zhejiang province on 25 April, market sources said.

The new SBR plant in east China will undergo a test run and if all goes well, it is expected to start commercial production in May, market sources said.

Chinese domestic non-oil grade SBR prices are at yuan (CNY) 12,200-12,600/tonne ($1,961-2,026/tonne) EXWH (ex-warehouse) in east China, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
