SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Haili Chemical Industry is running its 130,000 tonne/year epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant in Yancheng, Jiangsu province at 80% of capacity following a recent turnaround, a company source said on Monday.
The unit was restarted on 20 April after it was shut in the week of 17 March for regular maintenance.
The firm is likely to maintain run rates at the plant at 80% of capacity in the near term, the source said.
The company has another four lines of 80,000 tonne/year capacity each at Zibo, Shandong province.
Two out of the four lines are currently running at full capacity while the other two lines are idle, another company source said.
Shandong Haili Chemical Industry is the largest ECH producer in Asia.
