China Q1 sulphuric acid import levels drop 8.8% year on year

LONDON (ICIS)--Sulphuric acid imports to China from the rest of the world decreased 8.8% year on year in the first quarter of 2014, according to customs data from Global Trade Information Services (GTIS) released this week.

Sulphuric acid imports totalled 274,817 tonnes during the period January to March 2014, down from 301,434 tonnes during the same period in 2013.

The most notable increase in imports to China was from South Korea with levels increasing 21% year on year. The most notable decreases were from Belgium, the UK and Spain.
