CRUDE: Jun WTI: $100.83/bbl, down $1.11; Jun Brent: $109.54/bbl, down 79 cents
NYMEX WTI crude futures fell on pre-weekend profit taking, tracking a sell-off in the stock market in response to some lacklustre corporate earnings. The Ukraine crisis took a back seat on sentiment that the event has been factored in.
RBOB: May $3.0718/gal, down 1.77 cents/gal
Reformulated blendstock for oxygen blending (RBOB) gasoline futures traded lower during morning hours, moving further away from the $3.10/gal mark as crude futures weakened.
NATURAL GAS: May $4.650/MMBtu, down 5.5 cents
The front month contract on the NYMEX natural gas futures market lost further ground through Friday, edging to one week lows on bearish sentiment related to Thursdays gas storage report from the US Energy Information Administration and milder near term weather forecasts.
ETHANE: lower at 29.63 cents/gal
Ethane spot prices moved slightly lower on weaker natural gas futures.
OLEFINS: ethylene offered at 57.5 cents/lb, PGP offered at 70 cents/lb
US April ethylene was offered at 57.50 cents/lb against no fresh bids in the morning, compared with the previous reported trade at 56.25 cents/lb. US April polymer-grade propylene (PGP) was offered at 70.0 cents/lb against no fresh bids, compared with the previous reported trade at 68.5 cents/lb.
