HOUSTON (ICIS)--US diammonium phosphate (DAP) exports in March decreased by 44% from the same month a year earlier, according to data made available by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Friday.
US DAP exports fell to 159,838 tonnes in March from 284,018 in March 2013. Exports were lower in March mainly because of less demand from Australia.
March exports were down from the 193,833 tonnes in February 2014.
Brazil at 42,686 tonnes was the major destination of US DAP exports, followed by Colombia at 24,214 tonnes and Mexico at 23,678 tonnes.
Other destinations included Japan, Canada and Australia.
