Japan’s Keiyo Ethylene shuts naphtha cracker for turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Keiyo Ethylene has shut its 740,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker at Ichihara, Chiba prefecture, on 11 May for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Monday.

The turnaround will last for 47 days, the source said.

Keiyo Ethylene is a joint venture between Maruzen Petrochemical, Sumitomo Chemical and Mitsui Chemicals.

Maruzen Petrochemical holds a 55% share, while Sumitomo and Mitsui each hold a 22.5% stake in the company.
