LONDON (ICIS)--Liquid phthalic anhydride (PA) producer Proviron lifted the force majeure at its plant in Ostend, Belgium, on 19 May, a company source confirmed on Wednesday.
“All the problems have been solved and we are now able to run the plant at full capacity. Depending on planning, we expect to restart the reactor at full capacity in the next couple of weeks,” the source said.
The producer declared force majeure at its 100,000 tonne/year PA plant on 28 April. It was caused by an emergency shutdown at one of Proviron’s reactors on 26 April.
The plant restarted production on 28 April at reduced capacity.
