SYDNEY (ICIS)--India's Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) has awarded its 21 May purchase tender for 7,500 tonnes of ammonia for mid-June delivery to the country's west coast to Transammonia (Trammo), the leading fertilizer trader confirmed late on Sunday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 82nd annual conference of the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA), a senior Trammo executive revealed it had been awarded at $535/tonne CFR (cost & freight) by FACT and will deliver the cargo to Kochi, formerly Cochin, between 11 and 15 June.

Trammo was the only company to participate in the tender and has yet to decide where it will source the cargo.

Meanwhile, FACT has issued a fresh purchase tender for two 7,500-tonne (+/- 5%) for July arrival in Cochin, a market source said.

The tender, which closes at 14:00 local time (08:30 GMT) on 6 June, requires the first cargo to arrive between 30 June and 4 July, and the second between 14 and 18 July.
