SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Yanshan Petrochemical plans to hold off the restart of its 60,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (LDPE) unit in Beijing for the time being, a company source said on Tuesday.

The LDPE unit was shut down on 6 June for maintenance and was supposed to restart on 9 June, the source added.

However, the unit encountered a technical issue when it was due to come on stream, the source said.

The company has not confirmed a restart date for the LDPE unit, according to the source.
