LONDON (ICIS)--European June acrylic acid (AA) contract prices have rolled over, despite the €10/tonne increase in the June feedstock propylene contract price, sources said on Wednesday.
Contract prices are at €1,880-1,910/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).
This is the second month in a row that AA prices have remained flat, while propylene prices have risen.
The May propylene contract price had also gone up by €10/tonne.
Producers had aimed to recoup costs this month, but stable demand in a well-supplied market thwarted attempts.
AA is used in the manufacture of super absorbent polymers (SAP).
