SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s SCG Plastics Co has restarted its 400,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) unit in Map Ta Phut after conducting one day of maintenance last week, a company source said on Thursday.
The PP plant was shut due to a minor technical issue, the source added, without disclosing details on the exact dates and reason.
“It was not a major issue. There is not much impact on July shipments since they were already sold out,” the source said.
SCG Plastics is part of the Thai conglomerate SCG.
