MELBOURNE (ICIS)--Chinese producer Wuxi Baichuan Chemical Industrial is capping the operating rate at its ethyl acetate (etac)/butyl acetate (butac) swing plants in Nantong and Jiangyin at “very low rates”, a company source said on Friday.
The company on 25 June restarted its 200,000 tonne/year etac/butac swing plant at Jiangyin, after shutting it on 17 June to carry out modification work, the source said. The Jiangyin plant is producing only butac, the source previously said.
Wuxi Baichaun on 20 June restarted its 300,000 tonne/year swing plant in Nantong, after taking it off line also on 17 June. The company is producing etac as well as butac at the Nantong plant.
Both Nantong and Jiangyin are in China’s Jiangsu province.
